The thickness of these mats are awesome. I stood at my sink doing dishes and finally this mat cushions my feet. I am thinking about getting the other set and using both long mats in my kitchen for my sink, stove and counter between them.
We have this mat in the kitchen in front of the kitchen sink. It’s great to stand on and it’s secure and easy to clean. It also doesn’t slide or fold up like rugs.

Great! Just like the magic mat but longer and perfect for kitchens. If you'd like to pair it with the rectangular version magic mats, that's what i did and it works great.
Loved the mat when I first got it and it was ideal on my tile floors, felt safe and nice to stand on. However the mat is only a year old and I am very disappointed in its condition, it is situated in a very high used area but would have expected it to last longer than it has. I am also finding the same thing happening to the bathroom mats I also ordered. Too expensive to replace, so buyer beware is all I can say.
